Guardians of Zootopia

Guardians of Zootopia inspired by Trashasaurusrex's concept (This is non-profit fan art, all rights belong to the original owner).

Guardians of the Galaxy and Zootopia are two of my favorite movies ever, so when I found this crossover concept, I had the inspiration of recreating it in a 3D artwork. For the production, I decided to involve in the project Benedetta Cattani as a modeler and Pietro Ferrari as a surfacer, while I worked on the groom of both characters.

Even if I already realized a 3D artwork of Nick Wilde, I decided to start over taking advantage of my 3 past years of experience. I made the fur in X-Gen trying to blindly follow a lot of references. Nevertheless, I think that the most challenging part of the entire project was the accurate matching of Nick's tail and ears, which took me several hours of work, compared to the easier Judy's fur.
In addition, I did the characters' rigging and pose, the lighting with V-Ray, and the final compositing on Nuke and Photoshop.

I am very glad about the final result, it has been a complex project, but I learned a lot about manage decisions remotely and teamwork.
